A Marriage Poem

Eldest, the plump mother-bellied Taganga cook, said only stupid Colombian women thought the Whitemen had money.

Eldest said they’d fuck us to live in big Gringo houses, but leave us for better looking men once they arrived.

Eldest said the American Dream was a sham while she cooked me the fish I’d later vomit into the sea.
